As someone who is new to living a zero-waste life, Halloween is kind of a daunting holiday. Between the one-time use costumes, cheap decor, and individually plastic-wrapped candies, there is plenty of potential waste in celebrating All Hallows Eve. But I still love finding ways to celebrate the season, so this year, I made an effort to enjoy the holiday using only natural or re-usable items I already had on hand.
I have been relying on Method all-purpose cleaning sprays for all my cleaning needs for a few years now, and they work great. But that means that every time I finish a bottle, it’s another piece of plastic waste. Luckily for me (and you) there is the easiest solution to this cleaning conundrum – a homemade cleaning spray that you can make over and over again, with just three ingredients.
Today I want to share one of my absolute favorite (and easiest) zero-waste swaps. Laundry is without question, the chore I loathe most. And schlepping my clothes down the block to the laundromat was one of my biggest annoyances when I first moved to Brooklyn.
